Some amazing premade sandwiches that satisfy the New Yorker in me. It's a grocery store so you can expect to get everything you need in that sense, although I just use it for their large selection of food . Friendly cashiers and a pretty cool interior design, and located right along the bike path

I love our coop! A good variety of good quality products at reasonable prices. Yes, more expensive than your typical grocery store, but quality food is more expensive.

They have a great selection of organic produce, snacks, bulk goods, meat, cheese and just about everything you are looking for in a co-op food store. The store itself is well organized and clean. Great location 10 minutes off the highway. Awesome prepared foods including salads, sandwiches, soups, casseroles, and more. Definitely worth a visit!

What a wonderful store, be it for locally sourced cheeses to a wonderful beer selection, this place rocks. Great produce and I ordered a roast beef sandwich as I was heading home. I wish there were places like this home.

This co-op is one of our favorite places to shop in the Montpelier area. It's a small store, much too small for the business they do. There is a very nice selection of Vermont beers and wines from around the world. If you can't decide, ask to talk to the beer and wine buyer. She can tell you about most of the ones they stock. They have a salad and hot food bar, a nice cheese selection, organic fruits and vegetables, frozen foods, breads, a health food section, and a department that sells flour and other ground products. You can join the co-op if you wish. They will also honor memberships from other Vermont co-ops. Be warned that the store can get crowded, especially on weekends.

I shop at the Hunger Mountain Co-op because the staff is unionized and the food is local! I definitely don't shop here for the prices- which can be high on some items. However, I don't mind spending a little extra to ensure the workers at the Co-op are paid a livable wage and have access to quality healthcare, retirement, sick leave, paid time off, etc. It feels good knowing that the money I spend at the Hunger Mountain Co-op is going to help make my community stronger by providing good paying jobs with benefits. The food and products sold at the Co-op are higher quality than what you would get at a chain supermarket. Meals you prepare with Co-op ingredients will taste better. Much of what the Co-op sells is local which also supports good jobs in Vermont and keeps money in our communities rather than going to corporate America. If it is made in Vermont, buy it from Vermont!
